Meanwhile, the group is pushing through around a dozen redundancies at its Watford plant due to the introduction of CTP systems. The cuts were agreed last year when the group originally put its CTP plans together, although they were later put on hold until November, when it announced an 8m group-wide investment (PrintWeek, 16 November 2001).
Talks with the GPMU are continuing at Scarborough gravure site Polestar Greaves over the proposed closure of the bindery, while consultation is ongoing with the union over the planned closure of Chromoworks in Nottingham.
