The UK arm outperformed the parent firm, whose sales volumes declined by 1% in Q3.
Russell Foxley, BASFs finance director and general manager, said: Profitability is at a similar level. Under current market conditions thats an achievement.
The groups performance products division reported a 4.8% drop in sales to 1.35bn (e1.93bn) for the period from June to December.
