BASF claims an increase in its UK print sales

BASFs UK base claims to have increased its sales volumes of print media products compared to the same time last year.

The UK arm outperformed the parent firm, whose sales volumes declined by 1% in Q3.

Russell Foxley, BASFs finance director and general manager, said: Profitability is at a similar level. Under current market conditions thats an achievement.

The groups performance products division reported a 4.8% drop in sales to 1.35bn (e1.93bn) for the period from June to December.
