"Industrial printing is dominated by flexo and gravure, but there is an increasing demand for shorter lead times, lower inventories, product variety and customised printing," said managing director Rob Haak. "These demands cannot be met using traditional technologies."
At the centre of its strategy is The.Factory (the dot factory), its narrow web ink-jet colour digital press.
First shown at Drupa 2000, The.Factory is now commercially available.
It is targeting the 200m2-per-hour machine at the decorative printing, speciality packaging and security printing sectors.
