"Now was the time to go into CTP as it's been honed to a fine art," said Artisan managing director Neil Buckingham.
"The kit, including a Sherpa 24m proofer, took under three days to install and before Agfa completed training we were producing plates."
Studio manager Marcus Woods was impressed with the Apogee workflow and processless plates, which were not as light sensitive as rivals, he said.
The commercial printer produces brochures and business cards for local design and marketing firms from a new 500m2 block near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
The installations follow the firm moving to a modern unit after its 11-staff set-up outgrew its last building, an old turkey rearing shed nearby.
