Appointments herald expansion at Tag Worldwide

Tag Worldwide plans to expand further following the appointment of Electronic Solutions managing director David Russell.

Russell joined the repro house this week as commercial director of the software division, working alongside group technical director Mark Eggleton.

Russell, whose appointment is an expansion to the division, will direct a number of key accounts.

Tag chief executive Steve Parish said: "This and one other appointment for 2005 will complete what we think is the strongest line-up of marketing resource management software professionals in the country."

He declined to give further details of the upcoming appointment, but said that the expansion was due to new business at the Clerkenwell-based firm.

Parish said he was "extremely excited" that Russell had agreed to join Tag. "When we made a list of the people we wanted for the role David's name was at the top."

"We never imagined that we would be able to prise him away as he had developed a quality offering at his previous company."
Russell resigned from BBDO-owned ES in December after four years at the company.

* Steve Parish was named as a "wild card" in The Independent's guide to the British advertising industry. In a piece published on 13 December, Parish was described as "the power behind many adland thrones".
