AOT chief executive Mark Turnage said: "While not of a material size in itself this order represents a significant milestone for the company, and we expect it to be the first of many over the coming years."
He said AOT was confident of securing further euro orders, but would not announce any further euro contract awards unless they were merited by size.
The company won its first order to supply security foil for the euro a year ago. Prior to that AOT had issued a profit warning and admitted that hardware it had invested in was unsuitable for the euro (PrintWeek, 18 August 2000).
