Antsalo prompts paper rejig

The forthcoming retirement of Myllykoski Sales UK managing director Ari Antsalo has triggered a merry-go-round of high profile managers in paper.

Stora Enso's Nigel Day will replace Antsalo when he retires next year and it has now emerged that  Day in turn will be replaced by M-real sales director, publishers, Keith Cleary.

Antsalo explained his intention had always been to set up the UK sales office, which was opened in 2002, and then search for a successor. "My retirement is approaching, and we wanted to prepare for the change well in advance," he said.

Day, who is currently sales director, magazine publishers, within the publication paper division at Stora Enso, will join Myllykoski as deputy to Antsalo on 26 July.

Cleary has been with M-real since 1986. Graphics Direct divisional director Andrew Gunman said: "We wish him well in his new position, and I am sure he will be a success." Gunman is now searching for a replacement.
