Flexi-Media gives fully randomised instant win promotions by printing on the reverse of the film so that top prizes can be produced along with the complete job.
The technique is used in the US, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia on products like tea bags, shampoos and conditioners.
Alcan Packaging product manager Wayne Hallett said Flexi-Media gave brand owners the option of creating more winners of lower value prizes in their promotional campaigns.
Its basic psychology that the greater the chance of winning, the more likely consumers are to buy the product, said Hallett.
Flexi-Media uses a unique mathematical formula that enables winning labels or packs to be printed among losing ones. Alcan Packaging claims that the process also reduces security problems associated with promotions.
