The volume of file transfers on Adfast, the online system developed by the Newspaper Society, has consistently reached 2,000 a week.
In August the system, which was launched 14 months ago, handled 8,541 files to over 700 titles.
The 1m software system was funded by members of the Newspaper Society to encourage advertising in the regional press and has been provided free to advertising agencies.
Adfast technical support manager Rob Fogwill said he was working on expanding the systems database.
He said: Weve listened to comments from its first year and taken them on board. Were going to put on more information on the database like page size and deadlines. There will also be some improvements in its e-mail.
