Courses from 4impression can last from two days up to intensive three month programmes with tailored personal training and industry placements.
Course director Paul Jarvis said: "There is big demand for training. Print firms tend to take on people with no industry grounding and no print-college background.
"They are very bright and computer literate, but don't have enough knowledge of PDF files, colour management or dot manipulation for different processes."
His firm charges 50 per hour and courses can be held at various venues. Around eight people have so far signed up for training.
