PPS was set up in 1989 (the year sales director Katie Palmer was born) by her parents Noel and Lesley in the garage of the family home. PPS began by offering photography and marketing services and as the business developed, brought in graphic designers, invested in printing equipment and decided to bring everything in-house to offer the full service.

Where are you based? 

PPS is on Preston Docks, we have been in our unit for nearly 10 years

How many staff do you have? 

10 full-time staff, of which three are family members

What does your firm do? 

We design, print and install signs, exhibition stands and graphics. We also produce many bespoke graphics for unique client briefs

What’s your typical customer? 

We work with a huge range of clients, from schools, councils, small businesses to national companies

Which geographic areas do you serve? 

Our customers are nationwide and have even produced graphics for companies in Italy and Germany recently. Being based in the North we do have a majority of clients up here.

What equipment do you run? 

We have a flatbed UV printer and three HP Latex printers. Our most recent purchase was a 3x2m CNC Router used to cut materials to shape

What’s been your proudest achievement in the past few years? 

Growing the family business, working on some amazing bespoke projects (including branding a boxing machine for Anthony Joshua) and always developing our offering

You can’t beat a good old chocolate digestive
