Roland DG prepares UK debuts for printers at TPE

Roland DG has set out the plans for its stall at next month's Total Print! Expo (TPE), giving UK debuts to its VersaUV LEC-300 printer and cutter as well as its 64" VersaArt RS-640 printer.

The VersaUV LEC-300 is said to be the world's first UV inkjet printer and cutter. The 30" machine can print CMYK, white and clear coat.

It can print on a variety of substrates and can produce different printed textures such as crocodile skin and faux leather.

Roland DG's 64'' VersaArt RS-640 is designed to produce posters and outdoor signage.

The four-colour machine prints at speeds of up to 21.4sqm an hour and supports banner media weights up to 470gsm.

Managing director Jerry Davies said that the VersaUV LEC- 300 model heralded the company's entry into new markets, such as "packaging prototyping, short-run label production and a host of niche applications".

He added: "We look forward to introducing these exciting technologies to the market and discussing how they can give our customers a competitive advantage."

Roland DG will be exhibiting on stand 316 at TPE, which is being held at Earls Court 2, London, from 14-16 October. To find out more, and to register for the free advice seminars being held during the show, visit the TPE forum on printweek.com.
