The jury members included professionals who handle print on a daily basis for companies like Forbes India, Tata Services, Tata AIG, Hindustan Unilever, Parle Agro, Ogilvy & Mather, Nerolac, Laqshya Media, Taproot India, Haymarket Media India, Starcom MediaVest, Orient Longman, Marching Ants, Ergo, Indian Express, Publicis Ambience and more.
The jury panel followed the pattern of the inaugural Awards in 2009 which saw 23-members judging 300 entries from 80 print companies for PrintWeek India Awards.
Melissa Casyab, events manager for Haymarket Media in India, said: "The printers from India have sent their best work for the Awards 2010. We think the most demanding judge for them is their customer. So, a jury comprising expert print buyers judged the Quality Awards. The jury were split into small groups which will allow each judge to concentrate on categories within their field of print expertise."
The short-listed print companies will be announced in the August 10 issue of PrintWeek India.
The winners will receive their Prisms on the Award Night on 26 August at the Grand Hyatt.
The Awards are an ideal show-case for one of the fastest growing print economies in the world. The Indian print industry is positioned to enter the top print countries in the world. The Indian printing market is $14.1 billion and is expected to grow to $ 20.9 billion by 2011.
Canon India which was the main title sponsor for the inaugural PrintWeek India Awards, is the title sponsor for the Awards in 2010, as well.
