Paragon Service Point relocates West Yorkshire branch

Paragon Service Point is moving its West Yorkshire branch to the high street to target walk-in clients and boost its local profile.

The West Yorkshire branch is moving 15 miles from Castleford to Leeds to a new office, which is three times bigger than the last. It is due to officially open on 21 March.

The company, which has 27 branches in the UK, is part of the larger Paragon Group operating in 15 countries and with a turnover of £400m.

The move will enhance the firm's commitment to providing its Leeds and Yorkshire customers with a high-street locality, said Paragon Service Point commercial manager Graham Easby.

The 300sqm branch would also use cycle courier services for centre-based deliveries in a drive to deliver a more eco-sustainable service.

“One of the drivers was Leeds itself,” he said. “Its economic growth makes it the second largest commercial centre outside of the City of London and one of the UK's largest legal centres.”

The new 15-staff base will have two large-format HP 8100 machines, two Xerox 4100s, a Xerox 7800 and a Xerox Versant. Print includes banners, leaflets and paper-over-board work.

“The Leeds centre will be open from 7.30am to 8pm to meet the needs of clients, which include legal and financial companies, design and PR agencies.”

He added: “Many of our customers are already based in the city centre. Now we can offer them the convenience of a local walk-in site and open up our services to other city businesses.

“We know how cities suffer pollution and wastage and believe every little helps, so we have accreditations for using sustainable materials, recycling waste and cutting delivery emissions. Using a cycle courier for local deliveries will ensure we continue to maintain our ethical values.”

Paragon Service Point Leeds will create and distribute operational and marketing print, serving individuals and small businesses alongside blue-chip companies and multisite organisations.

The move comes after investment of £3m across the UK Service Point branch network, which saw a revamp of the company’s production equipment.

The spend included several Xerox Versant SRA3 digital printers, Océ Arizona wide-format flatbeds and HP Indigo 7800 digital kit.
