Van Iperen, as previously reported, replaces outgoing chief executive Ryoichi Bamba at Canon, who has retired from his position, with Anton Schaaf set to take on van Iperen's role of president and chief executive of Océ.

Following more than 30 years with Océ, Van Iperen officially took up his new role at Canon on 1 April and will now focus on sales and marketing activity for Canon's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Océ has signaled its intention to appoint Schaaf as its new president and chief executive, while Ernst-Jan Minnema is set to take on the chief financial officer role.

Schaaf and Minnema's appointments will need to be approved at the company's annual shareholders meeting, which takes place in Venlo on 17 April.

Schaaf joined Océ as chief technology and operations officer in 2006 before taking on a position on the board of executive directors.

Minnema, who joined the business as senior vice president of group finance officer last May, takes over from the position temporarily held by Van Iperen since April 2011.
