Océ to showcase artistic flair at Sign & Digital UK

Océ has said it will tap into the artistic streak of visitors to this week's Sign & Digital UK show by allowing them to create posters for a 'graffiti wall' using the manufacturer's ColorWave 600 wide-format poster printer.

The show, which starts today (12 April) and runs until Thursday, will feature an on-stand artist to help attendees apply their artistic vision to Océ's stand using its poster-printing equipment.

In addition to its ColorWave 600 poster printer, the Dutch manufacturer will be demonstrating its Arizona 550XT and 350 GT flatbed machines during the event.

Océ will also partner with Zünd to exhibit the company's range of G3 L2500 digital cutting systems.

Dominic Fahy, business group director for display graphics and imaging supplies at Océ UK, said: "There is going to be a lot of interest and amusement in watching the graffiti take shape, particularly as everybody has an artistic streak in them somewhere.

"Combining this with the power of the worldwide web and instant poster power through our Océ ColorWave is yet another example of how the display graphics market can benefit from our pioneering technologies and systems."

Sign & Digital UK takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 12-14 April 2011. Océ is exhibiting on stand D10 in Halls 17 and 18.
