Heidelberg to hold ‘Rapid Response’ open house

Heidelberg is set to hold an open house themed ‘Rapid Response, which aims to show printers how responsive its equipment is.

The event will be held at Heidelberg’s national showroom in Brentford from 10am to 5pm on 18 and 19 November.

Heidelberg sales director Jim Todd said: “The Heidelberg name is synonymous with colour quality, environmental excellence, productivity and value for money but we want to show printers just how responsive our equipment is, too."

Product manager Paul Chamberlain added: “Run lengths are getting shorter, turnaround times have got to be slashed and makeready times have got to be severely reduced so ‘Rapid Response’ is a response to that for our customers. We’re not just talking about one technology either, we’re showing every sort of dynamic.”

The firm’s Linoprint CP and CV digital presses will be on show at the event, alongside the manufacturer’s new LED UV offset technology, which will be demonstrated on a Speedmaster SX 74, and a Speedemaster XL 75 plus coater and Inpress Control.

Furthermore, in addition to the Polar guillotines and Stahlfolders on show at the Brentford showroom, there will be equipment from other third-party suppliers demonstrated at the event, including Muller Martini showing its Presto II saddle-stitcher connected inline to a Stahlfolder. Tharstern, IST, Morgana and ATS Banding will also be represented at the open house.

Heidelberg will also show its new Digital Front End, a faster Inpress Control 2 colour and register control tool, enhanced Prinect colour systems and rapid online consumables ordering.

During the event, collated flat sheets from the Linoprint digital devices and an 8pp A5 folded section from the Speedmaster SX 74 LED-UV press will be combined to produce an A5 format 36pp stitched product with digital cover.

Heidelberg experts and sales staff will be on hand during the open house to discuss general or specific enquires and there will be two 45-minute presentations on both days, at 11am and 2pm.

Printers can pre-register for the free to attend event at the heievents.co.uk website.
