Dscoop organisers reveal further details

Digital printers are gearing up for what is set to be one of the largest graphic arts conferences this year throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Registration is now open for the fourth annual Dscoop EMEA conference taking place across four floors of the Convention Centre Dublin from from 3 to 5 June.

The thee-day event will include 50 partner stands, 30 educational seminars and three keynote speakers headed by HP Indigo division vice-president and general manager Alon Bar-Shany.

Seminars at Dscoop will be presented by specialists and leading digital print providers from across region.

“Digital printers in all market sectors can come together and learn about the latest technology, industry trends, new applications and best practice,” said conference chair Julian Marsh.

“We are expecting up to 1,200 attendees and have more than 50 partners across 4,500sqm. It will be like a mini Ipex or Drupa, but all linked to the HP Indigo, and I expect it to be the biggest EMEA conference for the graphic arts in 2015.”

A show highlight will be the HP stand with nine presses. These will include two HP 7800s, a 5600, two 10000s, a 20000, a 30000 and an HP Indigo WS6800 digital printing solution for high-volume labels.

“Rather than have sessions where one person talks, we are mixing it up to make it more exciting and engaging. Round-table debates and panel discussions will draw people into debate and argument.

“A combination of education, keynote speakers and excellent networking makes this a superb event and 85%-90% of visitors to previous shows say they will return the following year.

“Print is competitive but the people who come to Dscoop are so proud of what they do they are happy to share best practice, ideas and thoughts.”

On the first day of the conference, HP will host visits to local customer sites to give a taste of efficient, innovative digital print operations.

HP marketing manager Julia Cole said: “As well as the the nine HP Indigo presses at Dscoop, there will be the latest Latex, Designjet and PageWide technology.

“The amount of solutions we demonstrate and the range of product information and support we provide at this year’s conference reflects the scale of the 2015 event.”

Delegates will learn about the latest sales and marketing tool kits created exclusively for Dscoop members.

A new ‘Tell Your Story’ kit provides a roadmap to execute a complete 12-week step-by-step sales programme, from planning to sales conversion and lead tracking.
