The latest investment for the Congleton, Cheshire-based business completes a £1.2m spend on digital equipment over the last five years and means it can offer dry toner, liquid toner, and inkjet print production.
Nigel Painton, managing director of Commercial Label Products, said: "All of the current equipment on the market has its strengths.
"Different jobs suit different technologies. We believe that we are unique, and probably a 'world first' in having these three digital processes all under one roof.
"It is common for more than one technology to be employed on our label orders. Our foil blocking machinery, for example, is busier now than ever before, foiling, embossing and die- cutting digitally printed labels."
CLP's new Xeikon, which is capable of outputting at a top speed of 19.2m2 per minute, is being pitched at short- to medium-runs, as well as just-in-time jobs.
It can print at resolutions of 1,200dpi and also features 1,200x3,600dpi addressability, which Xeikon said helps generate sharp details for applications that require fine text.
The 3300 can also print on a variety of substrates, including co-extruded film, unsupported film, paper, transparent and opaque foils, as well as paperboard up to 350gsm.
With the addition of the Xeikon machine, CLP can print self adhesive labels in every shape and size, and labels in up to eight colours. It can also offer a wide range of finishing capabilities, including lamination, varnishing, foil blocking, and embossing.
