The agreement covers the distribution of the German manufacturers' range of MSP Automatic Sheet Inspection and MBP Blank Inspection systems
According to M Partners joint managing director Murray Lock, the inspection systems are aimed at niche products for certain sectors such as currency, passport and stamp production where quality is paramount.
He said: "We also have to include cheque book printers and security print of all types, as they all need to provide highly accurate stacks of printed sheets prior to post-press operations.
"In many instances the checking of printed sheets is still being carried out by human eye – a slow, expensive and far less precise solution."
The company's MSP Inspection systems can handle sheets up to a maximum of 1,060x760mm from a minimum size of 300x300mm. The MBP Inspection systems can run at up to 40,000 products per hour and can handle product up to a maximum of 500x400mm.
"We see great potential at the high end of the print market for these products. Demand is there – we are already aware of a number of potential customers keen to see the Mabeg solution in action," added Lock.
