Josero appointed as Trimalco cutter distributor

Wide-format distributor Josero has said its appointment as a reseller of Trimalco cutters completes its portfolio.

The company has already sold a 3.5m Europa cutter within the UK since being appointed a month ago.

The range, which is manufactured and designed in the UK by the Finishing Technology Company (FTC), includes the Artemis straight edge cutter and Kronos general-purpose cutter as well as the large format Europa machine.

FTC was established in 2010 by former Keencut managing director Alex Mclean and it launched the Trimalco range at Fespa that year.

The reseller, which recently expanded its Cambridge premises, has terminated its distributorship with Keencut since winning the Trimalco contract. Josero managing director Loic Delor expects the new Trimalco cutter portfolio to be more profitable as there are fewer distributors.

Mclean never worked with Josero at Keencut and said Josero were the only choice to join Signmaster and Atech as distributors of FTC’s Trimalco range.

He said: "If it wasn’t for Josero I’d have kept only two distributors as I don’t want a price war.

"Josero is only forty minutes away from our Raunds, Northampton base and they are highly regarded and always active at trade shows so I thought I’d give them a go."

Josero will be targeting the Trimalco cutters towards the wide format signmaking market as with the rest of its portfolio.

Delor said: "It was logical to get the cutters as it completes the offer we have. We are pretty much finished now because we’ve got the laminators, the inks, the printers and now the cutters."

"Now we can be a one-stop shop."
