Go Inspire takes Böwe enclosing double

Go Inspire Group has taken delivery of a new Böwe Fusion Cross enclosing line, with a second on the way, to boost the firepower of its enclosing facilities in Leicester.

Arriving on 7 January, the first machine is expected to be followed by a matching counterpart in late May. The pair represents a £1.8m investment for Go Inspire, whose Insight, Creative, Digital and Solutions branches all operate from the 20,903sqm base.

Both machines will be used largely for the processing of continuous-feed A4 and multi-feed documents. Their side-channel can take cut-sheet A4 documents and fold them to C5 and DL, as well as Go Inspire being able to send single sheets in for C4 applications.

Go Inspire Solutions managing director Nick Cole said: “The machines had different build times, but the first one is now up and running and fully in-line with our expectations. We did a lot of due diligence, but our head of operations Paul Martin has had experience with Böwe lines before, so these were our favourites from the start.

“The reality is that we probably have the greatest print firepower in the country at Leicester and we had to match that on the enclosing side as we were turning away some jobs that we were previously unable to enclose.

“With the new machines, we can do complex, high-volume jobs for a lot more customers and clients. We want to keep growing and now we are beginning to attract bigger customers than before, so we want to sell our proposition as a one-stop shop.”

The Böwe Fusion Cross enclosing line can process envelope formats from B6+ to B4 with a performance speed of 22,000 envelopes/hr. Its maximum input capacity is 100,000sph with an enclosure thickness up to 15mm.

Go Inspire moved its two CMC 9000 insertion lines to its Kettering facility to create space at the Leicester base as part of a strategic development for its operations there.

At Leicester, the £85m-turnover company runs three HP digital printers and two large inline litho web presses from Zirkon. Across the group, the company employs 550 staff in London, Leicester and Kettering.
