Fastsigns Watford expands to support growth

Fastsigns Watford has more than doubled its floor-space by moving to new premises in order to meet the demands of its expanding customer base.

One of 22 UK subsidiaries to the international franchise, Fastsigns Watford has been part of the brand for 26 years and overseen by director Charanbir Anand since 2013.

The branch moved into its new unit over the summer, with all equipment now fully up and running. A customer showroom is in the process being developed and is expected to be ready by the end of November.

“We rent the current premises as we did with the previous one,” said Anand. “Due to the rapid pace at which our business is expanding, we didn't want to limit ourselves by purchasing a property so at present, renting is perfect for us.

“Over the years, demand had increased along with our client base, and we had outgrown our previous unit. We desperately needed more room to hold the type of advanced machinery that our newer projects require."

New additions to Fastsigns Watford’s machinery portfolio are an HP Scitex FB550 industrial flatbed printer and a Zund G3 XL3200 cutting table, which allow for better-quality prints on rigid and flexible media as well as a refined finishing process. Both machines were installed in July.

“Fastsigns’ global reputation and the support the UK based team can offer is invaluable, making it possible to realise your business goals much quicker – as is showcased by our move,” said Anand.

Located on Tolpits Lane in the Moor Park industrial estate, the 430sqm premises is more than twice the size of the original base in St Albans Road. Alongside the two new machines, Fastsigns Watford also runs two laminators and two Graphtec plotters.

With the added space, the franchise will now seek to expand its machinery portfolio further in the near future.

Fastsigns Watford currently has 16 staff working onsite and is seeing a 200% increase in turnover year on year. Their clients include Euro Car Parts and Asquith Nurseries.
