Berkshire Labels appointed as preferred supplier for Frobishers

Frobishers Juices has selected Hungerford-based Berkshire Labels as the preferred label printer for its range of drinks.

The company will print around 20m labels a year for Frobishers Juices as part of the open-ended contract, which Berkshire Labels managing director Paul Roscoe anticipates will bring in annual revenues of £100,000.

The Berkshire Labels team had been in regular contact with the soft drinks manufacturer and when Frobishers Juices put its latest contract out to tender, Berkshire Labels was selected from one of four shortlisted suppliers.

Berkshire Labels was given a brief to create a range of 14 labels for Frobishers Juices' 20th anniversary rebrand, based on the design created by brand agency Colt, and asked to put forward real-life interpretations for the labels.

Frobishers Juices was impressed with Berkshire Label’s seven-colour UV Flexo labels which incorporated both matt and gloss varnishes using its Mark Andy combination press, as well as a silk screen tactile overlay to replicate the look and feel of thermography, a traditional print technique.

Berkshire Labels has just completed the third reprint of the original label run and has created a new collection for Frobishers Juices’ Fusion range. It has also created promotional and ancillary labels, for the manufacturer, using its digital equipment to be included in drinks packs.

Counting Feel Good Drinks, Purity Soft Drinks and Radnor Hills Mineral Water Company among its clients, Berkshire Labels has accumulated over 200 new customers over the past 12 months, according to Roscoe.

He expects Berkshire Labels' turnover to reach £6m by the end of this year and to achieve "steady, continuous and controlled" annual growth of around 10% going forward, he added.
