At Pindar Graphics Tewkesbury plant one of its units suffered at the hands of the rising tides and narrowly missed a power outage and Newbury-based PCP (UK) had to shut down for several hours while staff battled to keep water out of the factory. According to the Association of British Insurers, the floods have cost UK insurers an estimated 3bn.
