The HP Indigo 7000 digital press prints at around 120 A4 pages per minute in four colour, which HP claimed was around 76% faster than the 5500.
The new machine is capable of hitting speeds of 240ppm in monochrome and two-colour mode, offering customers an average monthly volume of more than 1m pages. It can handle static jobs with run lengths ranging from one copy to thousands, as well as variable-data work. Users can choose from three new print servers within the HP SmartStream family to drive the press via its PrintLink protocol. It can be equipped with up to seven colour units and as well as a feeder and stacker.
