Humoled shows 'animated' LED lightbox

An innovative lightbox that combines a static printed graphic with a moving animated effect is now commercially available in Europe.

The Humoled Illumax involves an LED panel at the back of a lightbox. Its coloured LEDs are programmed to create the illusion of movement by converting video format into data.

By leaving some areas static, it creates an attention-grabbing effect.

“We believe this is the evolution of the backlit lightbox, this combination of colour and animation is unique,” said Humoled international sales manager Tan Kee Keat. “It can be used again and again.”

Illumax is available in two panel sizes: 130x220cm and 220x220cm. The system is modular, so any size of display can be built using combinations of panels. The panels can also be mounted on ceilings.

Humoled is on the DHJ International Decoprint booth at Fespa (6-P20).

The firm has a YouTube channel showcasing previous projects. The 'space' lightbox it is demonstrating at Fespa can be seen below.
