Laser cutting manufacturer Trotec Laser is showing its SP and Flexx laser cutting devices at Fespa 2021.

Trotec Laser is demonstrating its CO2 laser cutting technology in Hall 1, stand F40 at this week’s Fespa Global Print Expo taking place at the RAI Exhibition Centre, Amsterdam.

On the stand will be Trotec’s SP2000 laser cutter, one of five sizes in the SP series, which features a working area of 1,680x2,510mm.

The SP flatbed laser plotters, manufactured at Trotec’s headquarters in Austria, target high volumes of demanding applications such as plastic, wood and textiles.

The machines are aimed at users such as sign and display manufacturers, acrylic converters, volume producers of soft signage solutions, label converters and store fitters.

According to the manufacturer, the SP’s high-speed cutting combined with four-sided access and a ‘Tandem Assistant’ feature maximises productivity and offers an 88% cost saving compared with milling technology.

Also on show is one of Trotec’s four Flexx systems, the Speedy 400, which incorporates a CO2 and fibre laser source within the one machine, allowing a variety of materials to be processed in one job. The CO2 laser source is for engraving and cutting plastics, wood, rubber, leather and many other materials, while the fibre laser is designed for marking metals and 'staining' plastics. It engraves at a top speed of 4.3m/sec with a laser power of up to 120W.

“Trotec is excited to be exhibiting at Fespa 2021 where we will be showcasing what a versatile print finishing solution a laser system can be,” said Bryan Jater, sales director, Trotec UK and Ireland.

As well as the demos on the SP2000 and the Flexx system, Jater said visitors to the stand would have the opportunity to take a guided tour around Trotec’s new “all-in-one” laser software, Ruby.

“Ruby has been designed with the user in mind and includes some great features for improving workflow and therefore increasing profit,” he added.
