Fujifilm to give Acuity LED 1600 UV European debut at Fespa Digital 2012

Fujifilm is giving a European debut to its Acuity LED 1600 UV printer when it showcases the wide-format machine at Fespa 2012.

The manufacturer will be demonstrating a range of technology at the 21-24 February event in Barcelona including the Acuity, Uvistar II and Inca Onset S40.

Its 1,610mm-wide Acuity LED 1600 can print at a resolution of up to 1,200dpi and offers production speeds of up to 20sqm an hour.

Fujifilm is pitching the machine at applications such as posters and point-of-purchase (POP) applications and companies producing short-run print jobs such as window displays and uses UV-curable ink which emits no VOCs.

According to Fujifilm, these inks have fast-drying properties on a broad range of substrates such as PET, acrylic, and polycarbonate.

Also on show is the Uvistar super-wide-format roll-to-roll family, which is claimed to be suited to producing high quality print for display POP applications.

Fujifilm will also be showcasing its XMF Print Centre software and the latest additions to its innovative euromedia brand of media for large format printing.

Tudor Morgan, group marketing manager for wide format graphics at Fujifilm Europe, said he was confident Fespa Digital 2012 will be an "exciting" show for the company.

"The solutions we will be exhibiting on our stand are suitable for the widest range of applications, and we look forward to demonstrate how we can add value to any printer in the wide-format business," he added.
