Benson Group to showcase premium product packaging

The folding carton manufacturer, will use next month's Packaging Innovations London show to highlight the premium packaging it produces for customers including Waitrose and Butterkist.

The firm, which was bought by a management team led by managing director Mark Kerridge in December 2011, will show samples that include finishes produced by the double-coating unit on its Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 press.

Benson Group marketing manager Nikki Clark said: "Product suppliers are increasingly looking for that packaging edge – the stand-out constructional design and print finish that gives a carton that unmissable shelf appeal that a brand desires."

Benson Group has four production sites and has forecast sales of more than £120m for the current financial year.

Its plants in Bardon, Newcastle and Gateshead mainly serve food product manufacturers, while its Crewe site specialises in pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging.

Benson Group will be on Stand A1a at  Easyfairs' Packaging Innovations London show, which takes place at the Business Design Centre, Islington, on 4 and 5 October.
