Arjowiggins launches first 100% transparent transfer paper

Printers are set to benefit from the trend to replace fabric labels with printed laundry instructions, according to French paper firm Arjowiggins (8-E62) which has launched its first transparent transfer paper.

The French specialty paper company has been producing label transfer papers for 15 years but this is its first 100%-translucent product and is available in a matt or gloss finish.

The TL 95 Arjowiggins Transfer is used with screen printing of one to three colours plus an adhesive layer or powder, and is suitable for conventional and water-based inks. A cold and tepid peel transfer, Arjowiggins said that it was sustainable compared with PET/polyester film and suitable for recycling, easy to peel and produces sharp images and bright colours.

Speciality marketing manager Fabienne Cocheteau said: “It’s important that this paper has the Oeko-Tex standard 100 CQ1089/1 environmental certification.”
