Apex Digital to showcase benefits of 'joined-up' approach at open house

Apex Digital Graphics is aiming to showcase "joined-up thinking" at its forthcoming open house, which will feature kit from manufacturers such as Ryobi, ECRM and Morgana.

The event, Total Printing 2, takes place at the company's Hemel Hempstead headquarters on 4-5 October.

The showcase will feature digital and lithographic print production alongside a range of MIS, web-to-print, pre-press and post-press products.

On show during the two-day event will be Ryobi's 920 offset-litho press, which Apex claims will illustrate eight-up printing at a four-up price.

Ryobi's B2-format 785E five-colour machine will also be exhibited and will run equipped with Kocher + Beck inline offset cutting to provide for die-cutting on the run.

Also on show will be the ECRM DPP1200 digital colour printer, which will run alongside Morgana’s CardXtra Plus

According to Bob Usher, joint managing director of Apex Digital Graphics, both devices can be combined to form a package that can "earn money all day long, printing and trimming small-format jobs".

"Marketed in the right way, these small sales can provide for a good, steady cashflow, equalling a great source of income for a print business," he added.

In addition to print production, Screen and DPX platesetters will be showcased while web-to-print products and advice on the sector will come from Vpress.
