Sign & Digital UK (SDUK) is to host the first in series of online masterclass events tomorrow, which are designed to partially plug the knowledge and networking gap left by the cancellation of this year’s show.

The first masterclass in the free Sign & Digital Online series will be hosted by Eurobond technical manager Kevin Henry and will look at adhesives best practice.

It will feature a ‘welcome’ and ‘networking’ session, and will then go into a deep dive on how to avoid application and adhesive failures in signage by better understanding the chemical and material science behind how adhesives work.

The interactive session will also look at some of the challenges of producing Covid-secure graphics and screens.

“We’re delighted to offer the industry an online learning and networking opportunity, and a place to do business,” said SDUK event director Jenny Matthew.

“At SDUK our objective is to support business and to be a platform for learning and inspiration to help our community grow their businesses, diversify their offering, and put them at the top of their game. As we count down to the live event in March 2021, this online event series is the bridge keeping the industry connected, inspired, and doing business.”

Hosted on online events platform Hopin, the 60-minute Adhesives masterclass will take place tomorrow (14 July) at 9.30am.

Organiser Faversham House cancelled this year’s Sign & Digital UK (SDUK) event at the Birmingham NEC, which had been due to take place in April, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 2021 event is set to take place at the NEC from 2-4 March.
