I swear by my... Mimaki JV-160s

Monday, April 16, 2007

We print all sorts of jobs on it including stickers, signage and exhibition materials. The machine we had before produced good quality print but let us down on speed.

We had so many jobs coming in that we knew we had to either get a new machine or employ more staff. The Mimaki JV-160s works at ten-times the speed, producing up to 40 sqm per hour.

It has four printheads, printing at four inches wide. The RIP software allows us to produce variable data on this wide format machine. This will hopefully give us a competitive edge.

It is full-solvent rather than eco-solvent, which we regard as an added bonus. Prints are more permanent, UV- and scratch- resistant and very hard wearing.
