"The GUK folding machine is equipped with the UK’s first water-scoring system, which offers productivity and quality improvements for complex folds.

The investment followed us winning a five-year production deal for the UK and Europe with Z-Card. Our technical evaluation suggested that the GUK would increase our folding output and drive the unit cost down. It is a well-engineered machine that produces quality work.

Our tests at the GUK factory delivered 8,000 copies per hour running at only 60% throughput speed. The water-scoring system has been added to this folder configuration and means that we get sharp, flat folds on even the most complex piece of work. That is important to us because of the high volumes of Z-Cards that we produce.

The water-scoring system will ensure that we can handle an even wider range of tough finishing tasks."
