WFH fuels use of Dalim compression software

Dalim has reported a spike in downloads of its free-to-use PDF compression software due to people working from home.
The German software developer recently set up a new UK operation.
UK managing director Colin Price said that Dalim already had more than 1,000 regular users of its PDFLight software.
“PDFLight is a really useful tool for anyone, sitting on your desktop ready for you to drop a PDF onto it. The result will be a huge saving in file size with a beautifully optimised PDF, ready for easy emailing,” he explained.
“With everyone working from home and putting strain on their company email servers by sending each other massive PDFs of presentations they did online, what could be better than a bit of free software?”
PDFLight uses some of the compression technology developed for the Dalim Twist workflow system.
“There has been a definite increase in users,” Price added.
“We want to give away PDFLight to everyone who wants it, which in turn will increase awareness of Dalim. It's useful, it's free, and there are no catches!”
PDFLight can be downloaded from the Dalim website. Dalim said that files sizes can be reduced by up to 98% “without any data loss”.
