Vision Paper and Board extends Celerbr8 and Verdanna ranges

Paper merchant and converter Vision Paper & Board, part of the Middleton Paper Group, has extended its Celerbr8 Solo Occasions FSC board and Verdanna Offset ranges.

With immediate effect, the Celerbr8 Solo Occasions range is available in weights of 165-260gsm. It is suitable for greeting cards, high-quality flyers, business cards, book covers, folders and a range of digital applications.

It has a fully coated front and a lightweight coating on the reverse, making it suitable for many two-side coated jobs.

According to Vision, it can save up to 46% on yield, which gives large savings on the price per 1,000 sheets compared to standard wood-free coated products.

The Canadian-produced board can be offered in standard or bespoke sizes from local reel stocks, which reduces delivery times and material costs.

Vision Paper & Board commercial director Ian Pentland said: “We are continually looking at unique products that can bring savings and we have a host of products and services that do this.

“Many of our customers have bought into the savings that can be had on yield and, by using Celebr8 Solo Occasions, we can offer a cost-effective alternative to wood-free coated grades.”

Vision has also expanded its ‘Your Size’ range by making Verdanna Offset available from 80-120gsm in a host of cutter reel widths offering sizes from 300x310mm to 1,850x2,200mm.

The business will stock around 400 tonnes of Verdanna Offset, which can be used for applications including newsletters, notebooks, flyers, wall charts and desk calendars, to ensure that a consistent range is offered to customers.

The FSC-certified and elementally chlorine-free product, which is manufactured from bleached kraft pulp, has a high white appearance and provides high bulk and opacity.

Pentland said the product can save customers money on purchasing the exact size as the exceptional bulk of the product will allow them to drop down a weight.

“In essence, an 80gsm can be used in place of a 90gsm product. Savings taking both elements into account can save customers over £100 per tonne,” he said.

Separately, due to increasing demand the firm has also recently significantly increased its stocks of MM Topliner, a Mayr Melnhof manufactured coated liner designed for high quality offset printing. The new stock range is held in 180, 210, 230 and 250gsm.

As part of the Middleton Paper Group, which recently announced a multimillion-pound investment plan including new equipment, increased stockholding and a new fleet of vehicles, Vision Paper and Board supplies the UK market with more than 70,000 tonnes of paper per year.

The business has also recently added Double A Premium business paper to its range and become the exclusive UK sheeter of PankaBrite quality boxboard.

Vision Paper and Board supplies products to a varied customer base including commercial print, publishing, print management and the graphical and packaging board sectors. It also supplies business papers to stationers, wholesalers and education authorities.
