Sun Chemical to unveil new soft signage ink at Fespa

Sun Chemical will launch the latest addition to its Streamline ink range at Fespa Digital 2014 in Munich.

Streamline TX is a direct print sublimation textile ink specifically designed for the polyester and synthetic soft signage market.

According to the manufacturer Streamline TX inks provide bright, strong colours and dense blacks and have excellent “show through” properties because of their penetration into the fabric, which is particularly beneficial to flag printers.

Tony Cox, Sun Chemical’s business manager for aftermarket products said: “We talked about Streamline TX at FESPA 2013 and following customer feedback at the show we identified further product enhancements and we’re now ready to bring it to the market. We see FESPA Digital 2014 as the platform to do this.

"The soft signage market has grown significantly over the last few years and we’ve seen a move towards substrates such as polyester based textile materials which are used for products such as flags, banners and flexible signs.”

Cox added: “Our range of aftermarket products have physical and colour properties equivalent to the original products which allow a quick, simple and risk free conversion to Sun Chemical inks. The inks provide a solution for printers looking for a high quality alternative to OEM inks.”

Also on the stand (B2 B446) will be Sun Chemical’s solvent-based Streamline ESL HPQ, Ultima HPQ and Optima HPQ inks, which the company said had contributed to significant growth in business since their launch in July 2012.
