Steinemann introduces two new digital varnishing machines

Swiss finishing specialist Steinemann (1-B18) has used Drupa and a strategic partnership with Heidelberg to expand its Dmax range of inkjet varnishing machines.

The new 6,000sph Dmax 76 and 76c are the narrower versions of the B1 Dmax 106 varnishing machines. Steinemann is presenting demonstrations of the 10,000sph Dmax 106 and the Dmax 76c on its stand.

The new machines come in sheet size of 760x760mm capable of full-flood UV varnishing and 600dpi inkjet spot varnishing for commercial and packaging applications.

“We started developing the Dmax technology in 2013 and are proud to showcase the Dmax 76 at Drupa,” said chief executive Christof Stürm.

All Dmax machines offer a varnish application rates of 4gsm to 50gsm, or 100gsm for flood varnishing.
