Several Drupa launches for Flint Group

Flint Group has launched two new offset inks, four LED and low-energy curing inks and two food-grade UV curing inks for food packaging printing on board and synthetics.

Commercial director sheetfed Steven Haig said his stand (3-B53), one of three at Drupa, had seen a very high throughput of visitors, particularly from emerging markets, with LED UV especially popular.

“It seems to be the buzz word this drupa. We’ve had people coming from pretty much everywhere.”

Flint Group’s flexo and Thermoflex, part of recently-acquired Xeikon, division (8b-D12) is premiering The Easy Way flat-top dot plates for paper applications, due this autumn, which uses the same CTP system as existing plates. Plates for board are due for release in Q4 or Q1 of 2017. Eco Bridge, a plate mounting adaption for sleeves which uses aluminum ring instead of air holes using 50-70 litres per minute compressed air instead of the usual 720 litres is also new.
