Premier Paper becomes exclusive UK stockist of Advocate

Independent paper merchant The Premier Paper Group has been appointed as the exclusive UK stockist of Tullis Russell's Advocate paper product range, which was previously sold by Paperlinx.

With immediate effect, Premier Paper will stock and distribute Advocate Smooth Natural White, Smooth Xtreme White and Laid Xtreme White across a wide variety of sizes and weights as well as matching DL 100gsm envelopes.

Smooth Xtreme White combines a smooth surface with strong whiteness, Smooth Natural White offers an off-white shade with a superior smooth surface while Laid Xtreme White has a traditional appearance.

Advocate Smooth can be used in film and foil laminating, thermographic, foil blocking and gravure printing processes and is guaranteed up to 160gsm for laser printing, colour copying and inkjet printing.

Advocate Laid is guaranteed up to 160gsm for mono laser printing, copying and inkjet printing.

The Advocate grades are suitable for corporate stationery, report and accounts, brochures and folder and presentation materials.

Advocate is made from 100% elemental chlorine-free (ECF) woodpulps and is sourced from carefully managed and renewed forests. It is fully recyclable and manufactured to precise and controlled standards.

The range contains woodpulps from forests that have been certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council.

Premier Paper Group marketing director David Jones said: “We are working hard with Tullis Russell in order to ensure continuity of supply of the Advocate range to the UK print market. Stocks are now in place and can be ordered from any of our nationwide network of branches.”

Premier Paper has also recently started stocking a number of other new products including Vivid's Boss laminating range, the Essential Wide Format media range, Elements Light, a new addition to its Elements paper range, and Woodlands Trust Office Paper, a high-white, chlorine-free office paper.

Separately, Lenzing Papier’s Revive uncoated recycled brand, also previously stocked by Paperlinx, is still available from Denmaur Independent Papers under the Amadeus Recycled Offset brand, which is held in sheets and reels from 80 to 350gsm.

Furthermore, the AIMS Group, the independent consortium comprising of 10 independent paper companies, has reiterated to its customers that GF Smith’s range of papers is available from its member companies based throughout the UK and Ireland.
