Graphics One unveils new desktop dye-sub system

Graphics One has launched a new desktop dye-sublimation system aimed at SMEs looking to add promotional products to their offering.

The company said the GO SubliMate dye-sub system is the first system of its kind to feature neon dye-sub ink colours. It has been developed to be used with the Epson EcoTank ET-7750 inkjet printer.

The company's GO SubliMate Kit, meanwhile, includes CMYK inks, the neon yellow SubliMate dye-sub ink, CADLink’s Digital Factory dye-sub RIP software, and GO SubliMate dye-sub paper as a bundle.

The list price for the Epson printer with the kit in a bundle is $1,399 (£1,079), while the device can be purchased standalone without the printer for $599. The product is shipping from next week to the UK and elsewhere and the company is looking for a distributor in the UK.

Amir Ajanee, managing partner of AD International, which owns Graphics One, said: “We introduced the neon yellow because the use of neon colours in the large-format market is growing. Many customers were requesting this capability.”

Ajanee said his was the first company to provide a dye-sub ink for this desktop printer.

“We have been testing for months and are happy with the quality of this ink and how it works with Epson's MicroTFP printhead.”

He added: “Our ink has a shelf life of 18 months. We are the only ones in the industry to offer this capability. We offer neon colours. Our black is black. Our UV light-fastness is among the best in the industry - we benchmarked against all of our competitors and easily exceeded the best.

“And our base dye-sub ink is available from desktop to industrial grand-format so there is a very good migration path.”

Ajanee said typical users could be small businesses doing promotional items or garments.
