Fedrigoni launches Arena

Fedrigoni has launched the Arena series of white papers and boards for publishing and luxury packaging.

The range, which is the largest the Italian paper manufacturer has introduced for some years, is uncoated and available in weights ranging from 70-580gsm. The paper comes in smooth, rough, and bulk finishes, and four shades: ivory (bright ivory), natural (bleach-free white), white (warm white), and extra white (cold white).

The series is suitable for a wide variety of printing and finishing techniques, including traditional and UV offset, blind embossing, hot printing, foiling, screen printing and letterpress.

Several short- and long-grain options are on offer in standard formats and a selection of papers optimised for HP Indigo presses is available for digital printing.

Fedrigoni also developed the Arena series with environmental issues in mind: the range’s homogeneity allows the company to reduce waste scraps generated when moving from one production to another and to limit the use of fresh and waste water in its generation.

Fedrigoni group marketing director Chiara Medioli said: “This is like a Swiss army knife for white paper because it makes life easier for our clients; an arena is a place where you can play football, but also hold rock concerts or opera shows.

“If you have ever had the impression that Fedrigoni paperboards were more suitable for covers, end sheets, special sections, coloured sheets, think again: Fedrigoni Arena is unrivalled for text.”

Established in 1888, Fedrigoni has around 3,000 employees in 16 locations and sells and distributes its specialty paper all over the world.
