DuPont shows new kit, forecasts strong growth

DuPont (Hall 8b, C21) has revealed a one-stage solvent-free plate production process that produces flat-top digital dots directly onto the plate.

The Cyrel Easy flexo plates offer better consistency and durability in thermal or solvent-free print, said DuPont, which also unveiled the Cyrel Fast 2000TD plate processor, which works with its solvent-free Fast Thermal Workflow.

Also new was Izon, a 3D security film available in film strips, labels and clear sheets for sleeve or shrink wrapping and aimed at printers and converters.

Other Drupa launches included improved DuPont Artistri inks for wide-format work.

Global business director Colleen Pritchett said the company expects double-digit growth in both security packaging products, due to increased fears of counterfeiting, and in the digital inks segment. “Customers want faster printing speeds and an increased colour gamut,” she said.

“Customers no longer have to make a choice between quality and productivity. With DuPont you can have it all.”
