Clariant ups CMYK possibilities

Clariant has brought its latest magenta pigment to Fespa 2019 to help printers move “beyond the restrictions of CMYK”.

Ink Jet Magenta E-S VP6057 is a quinacridone pigment that adds to the Swiss manufacturer’s portfolio of magenta pigments designed to expand colour palettes for digital graphical applications.

A bio-succinic acid-based blue shade magenta, the E-S VP6057 reportedly shows high chroma level for UV-, solvent- and water-based process inks without compromising stability, according to initial customer feedback. It is intended to aid the creation of high-purity inks.

The firm is exhibiting on stand B4-M44 at Fespa, which is being held at Messe Munich until Friday 17 May.
