Revoria sales start next month in five European countries

Fujifilm is hosting an in-person customer event at the end of the month when certain continental customers will be able to see the new Revoria Press PC1120 digital press in action for the first time – although UK customers will have to wait.

The Peak Performance Print Experience event will take place from 28-29 September at Fujifilm’s Advanced Print Technology Centre in Brussels.

It will also mark the first chance for customers from all countries to see the new Jet Press 750S High Speed Model (HSM) running live.

“Visitors will be able see, feel and smell the difference for the first time,” Fujifilm said. Samba printhead technology will also be featured at the event with new imprinting systems that can be standalone or integrated with conventional presses and processes, bringing together “inkjet heads, inks and image optimisation”.

On 28 September visitors from Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal will be able to see the Revoria Press PC1120 for the first time. The new device was unveiled over the summer in virtual form.

Print samples from the monochrome Revoria Press E1 Series will also be available.

The launch of the new digital press range and Revoria brand follows the ending of Fujifilm’s 60-year Fuji-Xerox joint venture with Xerox earlier this year.

The Fujifilm Revoria Press PC1120 is a single-pass 120ppm toner-based device that, like Xerox’s Iridesse, can print in up to six colours – CMYK plus a choice of clear, gold, silver, white and pink, with the option for undercoat and top coat. It also includes AI and automation technology.

Sales begin from October in the five territories named above. A Fujifilm spokesperson told Printweek that announcements on other countries, including the UK, would be provided “once the timescales are decided”.

Visitors from all other countries can attend on 29 September.

Taro Aoki, head of digital press solutions at Fujifilm Graphic Systems EMEA said the business was delighted to welcome people back to the centre after a “long Covid-imposed hiatus”, and said the manufacturer had used the downtime to renovate the facility and add new equipment.

“We’re very excited to be demonstrating the Jet Press 750S High Speed Model to a live audience for the first time and we also look forward to sharing the full range of developments to our new and wider digital print portfolio and the ways in which our technology can help print businesses to maximise their performance,” he said.

European product manager for digital solutions Mark Stephenson said Fujifilm also hoped the event would mark the start of bringing virtual connections made during lockdowns into real-world relationships.

“This will be our first in-person event since before the first lockdown. We did monthly online shows for eight months and also took part in Virtual Drupa and had a great time doing it.

“We met a lot of people [virtually] we never would have met otherwise, and now we’d really like to meet them face-to-face.”

Visitors planning to attend from the UK should familiarise themselves with the current requirements for entering Belgium, as the UK is currently classed as a “high risk” red zone (as at 7 September) with travellers from the UK required to take a test on day one or two after arrival and then quarantine until they are in receipt of a negative result.
