Friedheim International has expanded its roster of exclusive UK agencies with a new portfolio of stitchers that also completes its line-up of Postpress Alliance brands.

The equipment reseller has taken on German manufacturer Hohner’s range of stitching lines and stitching heads in an exclusive UK deal that went live in December.

The kit was previously available through Hohner UK, but according to Friedheim the move was driven by “clear mutual benefits” thanks to the “more robust infrastructure” that Friedheim brought to the table through its established sales and service network.

The deal covers sales and service and support, with Friedheim also taking on UK spares supply.

Friedheim managing director Mark Bristow said: “We take pride in the fact that we only take on the very best manufacturers in the world - Hohner are the leaders in this field and are the best at what they do.

“The Hohner range complements our existing manufacturers perfectly, especially regarding the Postpress Alliance, and we’re looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”

The deal covers Hohner’s industry standard stitching heads and its range of stitchers, including the 13,000cph HSB 13.000 and the manufacturer's two 9,000cph stitching lines, the tooless HSB 9.000 and the modular HSB DIGI-FS 9.

This latest deal means that Friedheim is now the exclusive UK representative for every brand within the Postpress Alliance, which includes: BaumanPerfecta, Bograma, Herzog+Heyman, Hohner, MBO, and Wohlenberg.

During the past 12 months the UK finishing and packaging equipment specialist expanded its range by taking on the exclusive UK and Ireland dealership for Israeli manufacturer Scodix’s digital enhancement equipment and large-format die-cutters for packaging and POS applications from South Korean manufacturer Young Shin.
