Nozomi 14000 SD: speeds of up to 1,850sph

EFI has unveiled its Nozomi 14000 SD single-pass press, the company’s latest entry into the display market targeted at applications on paper, synthetic media and board.

Available now, the new 1.4m-wide press uses an array of up to six printing bars to offer speeds of 1,200 1.4x2.4m sheets per hour, or up to 1,850sph in a fully automated configuration.

Speaking at Fespa, EFI CEO Frank Pennisi said: “To be able to take the display graphics market, and to be able to produce 10 times the volume with the print quality that our manufacturers expect, is going to be an amazing accomplishment.”

With the Nozomi too large to show on its booth (A1-B50), EFI is displaying its Vutek H5, FabriVu 430i+ and Q3r models – with the QR series recently celebrating its 100th sale – alongside its EFI Pro 30h hybrid LED printer.
