Global Graphics accelerates Drupa releases
Thursday, April 16, 2020
Global Graphics is bringing forward the release of all of the products that had been scheduled for launch in June, following Drupa being pushed back to next year.
The Cambridge-based developer’s new platform Direct will now be released through a worldwide virtual rollout on 28 April, rather than at the planned Drupa show which had been due to take place in Düsseldorf in June.
It is Global’s first fully-integrated product line, taking in the company’s Harlequin RIP technology, Mako file optimiser, inkjet programmes ScreenPro and PrintFlat, workflow from its partner Hybrid Software and a global reseller network via its new acquisition Xitron.
Global Graphics chief executive Mike Rottenborn said: “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our industry colleagues, partners and employees during this difficult period and look forward to participating in Drupa in April of next year.
“In the meantime we are not treading water. In fact, we are accelerating our plans.”
Rottenborn also pledged that Global Graphics would make an appearance at the rescheduled Drupa 2021 show, now earmarked for 20-30 April of that year. The group’s showing will feature three of its constituent companies – Global Graphics Software, Meteor Inkjet and Xitron.
Global Graphics also stated its intent to resume “normal trade show activity” in the autumn with appearances at LabelExpo Americans and Printing United.
