Scodix has launched a new software offering to help web-to-print companies to improve their productivity and efficiency through workflow automation.
Available with immediate effect for “all major existing web-to-print workflows”, Scodix Studio W2P integrates digital enhancement to enable web-to-print businesses operating in both the B2B and B2C sectors to “unlock new avenues for profit”.
Enhancement design files are sent to Studio W2P, which automatically processes the data and directs it to a Scodix Ultra press.
By offloading and automating file pre-processing, the Israeli manufacturer said the software service boosts the utilisation and productivity of Scodix Ultra digital enhancement engines and the entire workflow.
MIS integration is also enabled to strengthen the automation process, save time, reduce human intervention and increase efficiency.
Friedheim International became the exclusive UK and Ireland dealer for Scodix earlier this year.
John Harrison, Scodix and converting division sales manager at Friedheim, said: “This new software is an enabler for both existing and new customers who are in the web-to-print market, and brings quite a number of useful tools with it.
“We already have some very high-profile web-to-print clients, some of which have asked us about this new software; it’s a perfect time to be able to offer it.”
He added: “The opportunity for digital web-to-print is certainly a growing market and it’s been very successful in other countries, particularly the US. That success and expectation for what you can offer, and the added value that digital embellishment can bring, whether it’s spot UV or foil, is quite attractive.”
